Roti Tissue logo design

Roti Tissue logo design

New logo design for my personal brand Roti Tissue:

The branding is for paper goods and stationery, something that has been my hobby and passion for the last countless years. I started this brand many years ago but left it on hiatus when I went to further my studies abroad. Got back to it recently and had to revamp the old logo a bit.

The idea started off with some doodles of the alphabets R and T. I played around with the forms of the alphabets, seeing what I could come up with. Maybe the shape of a real roti tissue?

For those of you not familiar with what roti tissue is, basically it's a type of Malaysian bread dessert that is very thin and crispy, coated with a layer of sugar and served with condensed milk (or sometimes curry dahl) on the sides.

Yes, some mamaks serve the deluxe version which is almost as tall as a tiny human.

I chose Roti Tissue as my brand name for 2 reasons: 1, I really like roti tissue (sweet tooth here), crispy and sweet, my two favourite texture! 2, it's thin like paper.

I didn't think the upside down triangles were working, so I tried writing cursive forms for the letters. I was digging the curves and fold, and the element is quite similar to how real roti tissue is made (toss and flip). I liked this direction!

The final design is closely related to paper making, which is also part of the branding for Roti Tissue.
